a decade in the making

Gabe and Kaitlyn first spoke to each other in junior high, when Kaitlyn was riding a different bus home with a friend after school. Gabe popped over the seat and offered a "Hundred Grand" candy bar to Kaitlyn and her friend. They had no idea that they would officially meet for the first time a few years later. In the summer of 2014, their mutual friend, Bryan, picked up Kaitlyn and several other friends to hang out. Kaitlyn didn't know Gabe was in the car despite having a full absent-minded conversation with him until he, again, popped over the seat. He had been riding in the trunk the entire time! They began dating a few short months later in November of 2014. Gabe was a freshman and Kaitlyn a Sophomore. They continued to be high school sweethearts through proms, graduations, college, loved one's weddings and babies, and everything in between. Gabe (FINALLY) proposed in August of 2022 after 8 years together. Kaitlyn had no idea it was coming and was totally surprised! Shortly after they moved onto Kaitlyn's grandparent's estate and quickly realized it is their dream home and property that they hope to purchase someday. In 2024 they decided it was probably time to tie the knot after 10 years together. They couldn't think of a better place than their home, where four generations of Kaitlyn's family have lived, worked, loved, cried, and laughed. Gabe and Kaitlyn are known to be opposites in every sense of the word. While many consider them a surprising pairing, Gabe and Kaitlyn consider their differences to be what balances them. In the decade they have been together, they have started to build a beautiful life full of sentiment, loved ones, and slow rural living with much more in common than many realize. Gabe and Kaitlyn see their wedding not as the start of their life together, but a celebration of how they have grown and where life will continue to take them together. We truly can't wait to share this day with you!
