Maid of Honor
My ride-or-die since 1st grade. We grew up hiding behind pillows while watching scary movies, squealing over our grade-school crushes, and concocting face masks made of egg yolks and oatmeal. You're my goofy, gorgeous, thoughtful, and loving friend, and I wouldn't have anyone else as my Maid of Honor.
Best Man
Basel and I have shared a bedroom for most of our lives, which is still strange to think about. He's been there for me while I was an awkward kid, angsty teen, and know-it-all undergrad. Basel's role has remained constant as my brother; he has been my closest friend, truest confidante, and bitter rival, but through all of it (and most importantly) Basel has been my best friend. I love you and can't wait to spend the night celebrating with you and my future wife in Sanibel!
Bridesmaid
Miss Fatima is Eyad's beautiful [inside and out] little sister. She's a voracious reader and a strong, opinionated young woman, hard at work on her bachelor's degree at Webster University in St. Louis. She has welcomed me in to her family since the first day I met her while enjoying her mom's delicious maqluba and home-made chai tea. I've always wanted a sister, and I'm so lucky that I'll get to build that relationship with you.
Best Man
Kevin is not the family that I was born with, but rather the family that I chose. We met each other while working on a hard project and developed a fast friendship. Kevin has celebrated my ups, stuck with me on my downs, and advised me on matters both personal and professional. I could not ever find a man of greater nobility than you, and I can't wait to celebrate with you in February!
Bridesmaid
We met in the thick of our awkward teen years while trying out for Northern Lights Volleyball, and we bonded over baking cookies and belting out Rent soundtracks. We have maintained our friendship over years and distance, mostly due to her endlessly caring spirit. I am so grateful that you'll be standing with me on my wedding day!
Groomsman
Graham is Haley's brother, but more than that, he is a friend. Graham has shown me so much empathy and kindness since the moment that I met him that I cannot imagine going through this journey without him. His constant objectivity and rationality has been a source of strength for me, and I cannot wait to become your brother in Sanibel!
Bridesmaid
Another fellow Northern Lights Volleyball alumna! We've been through Harry Potter movie marathons, dance parties on the roof, and Minnesota State Fair adventures. You're a mama, a wife, and my exceptionally loving friend. I'm so lucky to have you in my life and as a part of my wedding party.
Groomsman
Joe is my oldest and dearest friend. We met in sixth grade shortly after I transferred to his school. Through the years we have had so many ups and downs, drifted apart, clung together, and grown with and apart from each other, and through it all we have forged a brotherhood that cannot and will never be broken. I love you man, and I cannot wait until we are celebrating together on Sanibel!
Bridesmaid
We've known each other since we were five-years-old in Lausanne, Switzerland, when neither of us spoke the other's language; though that didn't stand in the way of us growing in to close friends. You have a warm, generous, inquisitive spirit, and I can't wait to meet up with you on Sanibel rather than our regular meet-ups on Skype.
Groomsman
Ian was the first friend that I made while attending university at Westminster College (fun fact, he was also the first person I met there). Throughout the years, he has been a voice of support and wisdom to me, and has helped me through the worst and best times of my life. I cannot express how much your friendship means to me, and I cannot wait to stand with you as I begin this new chapter of my life!
