On the first weekend of November, two of the biggest college football teams meet for an extremely exciting matchup...LSU Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide. The game was being held at Tiger Stadium in November 2014. Because this game is such a big deal, people from all over, flood the campus of Louisiana State University to partake in weekend tailgating. Rodney and his brother Ricky were going to be tailgating for this game and Ricky's, now wife, would also be there with her line sisters Alyx and Kristin. Here is where the fun began... Wkeithia, Alyx, and Kristin joined Rodney and Ricky at the Nu Psi Alpha House for some tailgating fun before heading off to the game. Being that Rodney was a member of the Nu Psi chapter, when the ladies asked for anything, Rodney made sure to get it done for them...mostly because he found Kristin attractive. While talking to Ricky, Rodney was going on and on about how he thought Kristin was amazing and beautiful and so outgoing. Ricky eventually told Rodney to go with his move if he felt so strongly about her. Rodney texted Wkeithia to gauge how he was being perceived by Kristin. Come to find out, she found him attractive as well. Once Rodney learned this, he asked for Kristin's number and began texting her soon after.

Knowing that it would be hard to surprise Kristin because she asks so many questions about what's going on, Rodney knew he would need some help with putting together a surprise proposal. He reached out to his cousin and lifetime friend Johdrick and Jasmine Morris. They were the kickback crew that Kristin and Rodney always hung out with so he thought it would be perfect to have the surprise at a kickback. Rodney and Kristin were planning an overseas cruise with Johdrick and Jasmine that would be held towards the end of June. With all attention being placed on the trip, Rodney felt it would be smart to propose closer to the time before the trip. He reached out to Brittany, Me'gan, and Joe, three of Kristin's best friends to make sure they would be available for June 17, 2017, because he wanted to make sure they were there to celebrate the moment with Kristin. After getting their confirmation, all that was left was planning a "pre-cruise kickback" that would actually be the Proposal Party. A day before the big day, two of Rodney and Kristin's friends got engaged. Rodney then began to refer to this kickback as a celebration for their friends engagement. This made Kristin even less aware of what really was about to happen. **And Action** As they pulled up to the Morris residence, Kristin made sure to remind Rodney that she would not be waiting forever to become his wife. Hearing her say this, Rodney knew Kristin was completely oblivious to what she was walking into. As they walked in the home, Kristin asked Rodney, "Where is everyone"? Rodney told her they must be outside in the backyard. Kristin walked out first and saw everyone standing around holding balloons and smiling. She rushed to the side stating, "Rodney get out the way, we're messing something up"! That's when Rodney got on one knee and the rest is history.
