The story of Ewan and I began a few years ago, when we had a brief interaction. I got introduced to him at his brother's Memorial in September 2019. At the Memorial, he approached me politely and ask how I was doing.... he offered me a jacket, and even a blanket as it was an outdoor family event during Fall. At that time, I was not interested, and I would always brush him off, even though he was cute! Of course, I didn't show him in any way that I found him cute and attractive. Two years later, in September 2021, it was the time that our true friendship and journey began. We met once again at his mom's house, and I was helping out in the kitchen. Being the gentleman that he is, he would randomly pop in every now and then to make sure I was doing okay and would assist me with any help I needed. At that moment, we began to have a good vibe and good energy and harmony like no other!! It surprised me because I never had all of these feelings together. Without words we both knew that this would led to something very special. We hung out the next day and then he left for Florida. We managed to maintain a long-distance relationship via Whatsapp video calls. During this time, we courted each other until we decided that each one of us would take a trip each month to be with each other. January 2022 being my first visit to Florida. Then he came in February to visit me here in Connecticut. I went to him in March....each trip was so special, and our bond grew closer and closer. In April, I threw him a surprise birthday party. His appreciation was expressed in his eyes and angelic smile. As our friendship grew deeper to where we became inseparable (and still are) and continued to be each other's best friend! In May, when he came to Connecticut, on my mother's birthday, he popped the question. Naturally, I said YES! In June, I moved to Florida to be with my FOREVER LOVE. We've been together ever since, and we are excited for the next step that God has planned for us! We want to thank each and everyone of you for being there and celebrating this blessed journey with us. We love you all! “It's no use talking unless people understand what you say.” -Zora Neale Hurston
