The Nikah is the official Islamic wedding ceremony, signifying the spiritual and legal union of the bride and groom. It is a sacred contract between the couple, conducted in the presence of family, close friends, and an officiant known as an Iman. During the ceremony, vows are exchanged, prayers are recited, and the Mehr (a symbolic gift from the groom to the bride) is agreed upon. The Nikah reflects love, commitment, and mutual respect, marking the beginning of the couple's life together under Islamic tradition.
Guests are welcome to dress in either of the following: Traditional Pakistani Attire: South Asian formalwear is encouraged, including sherwanis, kurtas, lehengas, sarees, or salwar kameez in festive colors and elegant fabrics. Embellishments, intricate details, and formal ethnic footwear are all appropriate. Cocktail Attire: Western-style formalwear is also perfectly fitting—knee-length or full-length dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits with or without ties are all welcome. Please choose attire that feels polished, festive, and suitable for an elegant evening celebration.
The ceremony and cocktail will take place outdoors at White's Ferry Manor (weather permitting) and the reception will take place indoors. We recommend comfortable footwear and layers for a summer evening.
Yes, complimentary parking is available on-site at White's Ferry Manor. Guests will be guided upon arrival to park in the open parking lot and take the shuttles to the event space.
The event begins at 6:30 PM. Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early to allow time for parking and seating before the ceremony begins.
