From playing video games at our parents' house, to practically living with Evian and Megan the first year they were in their house and now watching them get married and start their new life (with me of course). I’m Janee, one of Megan’s best friends. Megan and I met through my boyfriend, Joaquin, who has known her since middle school. They forced us to keep being around each other, and then eventually, one of us started talking, and we never stopped yapping. Even now, 3 years later, I can confidently say she’s one of the best people I know. She’s my best friend, and we still can’t stop yapping. One of my favorite memories is when we were walking downtown with some friends and everyone thought it would be a great idea to go into a parking garage and go to the very top. Well, when the 1st person gets to the top, a security guard sees us and yells down the stairwell "y’all have 30 seconds to leave". I was freaking out and running down the stairs, and it made me more nervous because everyone else was taking their time to come down and I was convinced we were going to jail that night. Megan told me I was overreacting. I don't think I was, but then again, we never got arrested. So maybe I was.

Even though Evian and I went to high school together for the full 4 years, we didn’t really start interacting with each other until around junior year. I wasn’t the coolest tool in the shed and was probably the last person he wanted to socialize with in our junior year English class, however I think I was able to grow on him. Plus Megan has been a good friend of mine since middle school, so he was kinda just stuck with me. Throughout the past few years I have gotten to know Evian a bit more and have become more fond of him. He is just a really good guy to hang around with, to talk to, and to have late night game sessions while our respective significant others are in the next room pouting for attention. I am honestly glad to have him as a friend!

We have a little bit of a different meeting. I am Megan's biological sister, who she met in 2022. Ever since meeting, I know I have an older sister to run to, and I'm so happy we have the relationship we do. My favorite memory is last July 4th, where we were watching little kids play with fire. And when we were asked to help light, we referred them to 'real adults'. I'm proud to watch Megan take one step closer to becoming a real adult, and even prouder that it's with Evian.

I met Evian a long time ago, but we only started getting closer recently. It’s crazy to think how fast our bond has grown. He went from being the quiet one to someone I now share nonstop laughter and some of the most random conversations with. I have the honor of being Megan’s older Brother. She is one of the best people I know and she makes the life of everyone around her better. From singing and dancing in the car, to talking for hours about the most important things in life, I have enjoyed every second of being her Brother. There are very few people who deserve to be with someone like Megan, but Evian is one of those people. Our family loves him, and although we have considered him a part of our family for years, we are so excited to finally be making that official!
