Can you believe an awkward side hug in the courtyard at the old Delta High School campus in Richland is what started the story of us? It sounds straight out of a rom-com but it's true... just barely high school freshmen, the story of Baily & Emily begins as strangers in an uncomfortable embrace.
Although they already felt love sparks, Baily & Emily were reluctant to admit it. They decided to secretly meet up at the Delta High School winter formal dance. Don't worry, they still managed to snap a couple of pictures together which Baily surprised Emily with just a few months ago!
Not wanting to sacrifice their friendship, Baily & Emily remained friends through high school, and after, as Baily served in the United States Army and Emily attended Washington State University.
Although separated by 2,300 miles... Baily & Emily again grew close and often spent hours at a time FaceTiming each other. While the poor connection was often frustrating, they found themselves getting creative. As the months passed, flower deliveries and care packages sent between them became more and more frequent.
The time finally came for Baily to return home and make the trip back to Washington. From the first hug they shared as he picked Emily up to spend the day together; Baily & Emily were inseparable spending every spare moment together.
It was undeniable that Baily & Emily were in love and their friends and family could clearly hear wedding bells in the distance. Though it still came as a complete shock when Emily opened her eighth and final gift from Baily on the eighth and final night of Hanukkah to find the most perfect engagement ring. The moment quite literally felt straight out of a dream that Emily had described to Baily just a few months prior. Although nobody said it better than Eleanora... her answer was obviously YES!
Their hard work paid off as Baily graduated from Montana Technological University with a Certificate of Applied Science in Welding and Emily earned her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with a Special Education Endorsement from Washington State University. To celebrate, they hopped on a plane just hours after Emily's graduation and made their way to New York for a week and a half exploring the big apple and celebrating with their east coast family.
After months of searching, the happy couple found the home of their dreams in Kennewick, Washington! They look forward to celebrating endless memories in the years to come.
Baily and Emily welcomed home the sweetest puppy this April! Remi is a GSP that loves to cuddle and terrorize her chew toys! After recovering from Parvo at just 7 weeks old, she has been working hard to learn new skills. Remi is looking forward to visiting Montana this summer and learning to work as a hunting dog!
Help us continue writing our story! We are excited to celebrate with you at our wedding on July 17, 2022 in Anaconda, Montana.
