The Big Day

We Eloped! #NotPregnant

Days before, our makeup artist Laura told us it's supposed to snow at our AirBnB and rain at our ceremony site on our day. 1) we didn't think it'd be THAT cold 2) Kesi despises rain (... DESPISE!) 3) with the weather & COVID-19, would our vendors have cold feet? On the big day, we woke up to snowfall. Our amazing vendors still showed up, we got ready in Flagstaff and drove 1 hour to Sedona. Our officiant Dee arrived early and told us that there's a stream of water (???) at our ceremony site. Victoria (again) found Bell Rock for us; it was wet, but basically empty. Just in time, the sun came out for us and not a drop of water. We had a beautiful ceremony and vows. Our dinner reservation got cancelled the night before (that darn COVID-19!) and we ended up eating Chick-Fil-A after attempting 2-3 take-out spots and the hunger headache and grumpiness set in. Despite all that "went wrong," our day was magical and it was ours.

Engagement Session

3.15.2020

We were scheduled to shoot at the beautiful Canyon X, but it shut down the day before our reservation because of COVID-19. Our photographer Victoria quickly found Chuck Wagon Trail in Sedona for us. It worked out because it was half the drive to Canyon X. When we got there, the parking lot was packed. We were so nervous to take pictures in front of all those people - why were they there anyway?! Luckily Victoria suggested we go across the street and we found this beautiful spot that nobody noticed and had a blast.

The Proposal

6.09.2019

Slater and Kesi (and Missy) enjoyed living in their condo in Coral Springs, FL. It was always their mission to move out of state, but they didn't know where. Slater decided to pursue a career in Audio Engineering and enrolled at the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences. A few weeks before departure, he and Kesi planned a going away party, but Slater had a trick up his sleeve. He was planning a proposal under the guise of this going away party. At Benihana Waterfront, Slater proposed to Kesi on bended knee and she said "Yes!"

The Journey Continues

June 2018

Slater and Kesi had a long-distance relationship from 2014 to 2016 while Kesi was away at college (Valencia College & University of Florida) and Slater was in school at Palm Beach State & Florida Atlantic University. Kesi moved back home after her college graduation, partially to further explore this relationship that she knew was special. They continued dating and eventually moved into their first place together in 2018. September 15, 2018 Slater and Kesi became (puppy) parents to a Dutch Shepherd mix named Missy Nosakhere-Hunter!

How We Met

8.12.2013

Slater was always Kesi's secret admirer. They both attended Blanche Ely High School their freshman year. Kesi knew Slater's cousin AJ, but Slater only admired from afar. They became Facebook friends in December 2009, but it wasn't until the eve of Kesi's 19th birthday (2013) that Slater messaged her and gave her his number. They began talking on the phone and later met up over winter break. The rest was history
