This is a map of the top of the mountain. Stay to the left after passing through the gate and continue up the road until you reach the 100-inch telescope labeled on the map. Parking will be marked. The coordinates of where to go are: 34°13'33.3"N 118°03'25.8"W Please note the road to the top is windy and narrow. If you get carsick easily, take precautions. Do not worry about purchasing park passes, we will have them for you when you park. Please leave extra time to get to the ceremony, there is only one way up to this particular mountain. If you get there early, there are bathrooms and places to explore on your own!

Located on the summit of Mount Wilson above Pasadena at an altitude of 5715 feet, Mount Wilson Observatory is visible from much of the Los Angeles area. The high elevation of the Observatory (5715 ft) and the change in elevation are unsuitable for individuals with respiratory and heart problems or with limited mobility. We will have water and Gatorade packets ready to go if you start to feel woozy, or need to recover after the trek up. The century-old facilities are not ADA-compliant and, offer no access to those who cannot climb multiple flights of stairs. Visitors should take these factors into consideration before touring the Observatory. Weather conditions in the mountains can vary greatly and change suddenly. Be prepared for any weather conditions including snow and local dense fog. The weather is often much different on the mountain than in the city below. A live image from the observatory, update every four minutes, can be seen from the Towercam. Remember that conditions on the mountain may change from what you see on the Towercam.

Los Angeles County guidelines are still changing. Stay up to date on the current requirements for masking and vaccinations in the county. We kindly ask you to respect all of the recommendations for masking and vaccinations in order to attend our wedding. This includes the weeks leading up to the wedding, and in your travels to/from the wedding. Your health and safety is important to us, and we want to make sure all of our guests are as safe as possible. Also note, our venue is technically indoors but will have an open roof to let fresh air in.
Travel Note
We have a set number of reserved spaces at the dome- this may mean getting creative with carpooling if you don't want to hike. If a person in your travel party has the ability to drop off guests and hike up, please let us know! We will make sure you have the proper forest pass for the day so no matter where you park, you will be fine!
