There are a number of flight options out of JFK and LAX to HNL each day, and you can easily rent a car or order an Uber to Waikiki from here.

The rooms are cheaper if you book through the blocked rooms, the daily resort charge is $40 instead of $50, and the self parking charge is cheaper than usual.
