We first met in 2018 through mutual family friends—Rob’s cousin is married to Katrinas best friend. Funny how life works, because shortly after, we just happened to be in Las Vegas at the same time. Coincidence or fate? We’re pretty sure it was the start of something meant to be. We didn’t have a traditional “first date”. It was more of a casual hangout that quickly turned into an instant connection. The kind where time disappears and everything just feels right. That connection was so strong that just weeks later, Katrina flew out to California to visit Rob while he was in the Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton. It didn’t take long to know—this was it. For over four years, we navigated the challenges of long distance, growing stronger every step of the way. Eventually, we moved in together and shared a meaningful year at Katrina’s mom’s house, learning what it meant to build a life as a team. Then came our next big step—buying our first townhome. Five months later, our little family grew by one more: our pup, Denver. The proposal was thoughtful, romantic, and so very us. Rob surprised Katrina with a date night that started at Roxborough State Park, where the views were stunning and the moment even more so. Surrounded by natural beauty and so much love, he confessed his heart—and got down on one knee. Saying “Yes” to Rob was without hesitation. We ended the night with a romantic dinner to celebrate our new chapter as an engaged couple! We’re so excited to start this next chapter together—traveling, growing, laughing, learning, maybe adding a few more pups (or kids!) to the mix. Most of all, we’re excited to wake up every day side by side, ready to take on the world together.
