Things To Do

These are just a few of our favorite things to do around town!
Second Saturday Art Walk

Second Saturday Art Walk

Jefferson St, Lafayette, LA 70508

Second Saturday means ArtWalk ArtWalk showcases the creative side of Downtown Lafayette’s cultural district. Museums, independent galleries, studios, craft stores and art houses of Downtown all participate in the monthly showcase of Acadiana’s artistic talent. Those who come to ArtWalk will leave inspired as they explore the Downtown cultural district. ArtWalk takes place every second Saturday of the month—rain or shine. There is no one organization responsible for planning the activities. Instead, each museum, gallery, or studio hosts their own unique event, featuring local artists and performers. Follow the official ArtWalk Lafayette Facebook Page to stay informed on monthly ArtWalk events.

Cafe Sydnie Mae

Cafe Sydnie Mae

140 East Bridge Street, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517
, (337) 909-2377

An excerpt from Curt's Blog: Café Sydnie Mae—Your Happy Place "There’s a place, hidden in plain sight, and it’s where you want to be. Among the shared wall buildings on Bridge Street in beautiful downtown Breaux Bridge, Café Sydnie Mae sits on a corner, and welcomes you to come in and enjoy life for a while... Get the Breaux Bread! If you have just one thing on that incredible menu, make it this unassuming little appetizer. On the surface it’s just a warmed loaf with Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and marinara sauce. But in reality, it’s so much more than that. The bread is toasted just enough to be crispy, but still pillowy soft inside. It’s then dressed in olive oil and topped with grated Parmesan... This appetizer cannot be oversold…it’s that good!"
