A fabulous German beer hall in a renovated building that dates back to 1857. You can read the story on their website, but they have fabulous food and authentic German beers brewed on site. 12/10 love. Order the mega pretzel charcuterie board thing!
A large Italian grocery store / eatery / coffee bar complex on West 7th. Good for lunch and a walk around. Mostaccioli galore!
A very cool coffee shop just two blocks from our apartment in Cathedral hill. Great to hang out and work on your novel in the beautiful interior, or pick up a latte and stroll over to check out the Cathedral.
Fabulous Russian Vodka Lounge!!! Putin may be a fascist POS but the proprietors of this fine establishment are AWESOME. All sorts of classic Russian, Ukrainian, and Georgian food. Get a vodka flight! Rachel's favorite is the horseradish! Also the Moscow Fries, also the fried pelmeni, also the regular pelmeni, also the... you get the point :D

The O'Shaughnessy Family (read: very rich old money Saint Paul) shelled out enough cash to lure one of the lead distillers at Jameson to develop a brand new distillery. Fast forward to now and this is one of Henry's places in Saint Paul! Great food, great drink, great patio. Try the Beorn!
Take a stroll in the conservatory or the lake. Take your children to the zoo. Play a round of golf! We love this park.
The original Everwick Date! One of our favorite date spots, the museum is free, has an amazing collection, and is blocks away from eat street on Lyndale ave. If you want to truly follow the path of our dates, you would ignore eat street, however, and pop over to Midtown Global Market for some Pho at Phams.
Aforementioned global market
Two words: purple margaritas!
Grab a snack at the bandshell and take a stroll around the lake!
Best Neopolitan Pizza in the world. Well, in this country at least. And I will fight anyone who says otherwise. It's one of our absolute favorites!
Ride the escalator to the top and enjoy the view! We also recommend the Mill City Museum next door and taking a stroll across the Stone Arch Bridge
Rotating street food vendors! Great way to spend Saturday morning!
