I met Carlie online through a dating application. After a few days of texting and talking over the phone, I decided to ask her out to a movie. At the time, I had been anticipating a new movie called Hacksaw Ridge (I am a fan of war and military movies). I thought seeing the movie with Carlie would be a good opportunity to get to know each other better and enjoy a good movie. I didn't realize the movie would be as action packed and violent but thankfully Carlie was merciful and that did not spoil the date. In fact, the movie referenced Lynchburg, Virginia several times, which is where she went to college. The movie also had a romantic story intertwined in it. After the movie, we talked outside the theater for a bit. I knew within minutes of talking that she was the one. I sensed in her love, intelligence, sophistication, and a fear of God. We went on a few more dates after that and on November 15, 2016, I asked her if she wanted to be my girlfriend. Since then, my love for Carlie has blossomed and deepened even more. She inspires me and makes me a better person. I am eager to be her husband, to love her unconditionally, to be one.
