We're getting married!

Evelyn and Ricky met in high school. On a chilly afternoon, Evelyn was walking back to her French class just as Ricky walked out of the restroom. Ricky walked up behind Evelyn to get her attention and stuttering though his words, Ricky introduced himself. They quickly exchanged numbers and just as they were saying goodbye, Ricky extended his hand to shake Evelyn’s hand, not knowing that 9 years later they would be getting married.

Evelyn and Ricky's first date began at Texas Roadhouse and ended at the movies. One year and many dates later, Ricky asked Evelyn to be his girlfriend.

On their 7th year anniversary, Ricky proposed to Evelyn at the Zilker Botanical Garden, right in front of the waterfall. Ricky had Evelyn's family hold up rose-gold balloons that spelled, "Will you marry me?" and had some of Evelyn's close friends stand with additional balloons and flowers to witness the proposal. Ricky walked Evelyn right in front of the waterfall, Ricky shared a few words as to why he loves Evelyn and wants to spend the rest of his life with her, then Ricky got down on one knee and opened a small black box that contained the ring. Evelyn cried and said "yes!"

We promise to continue to love and care for each other, we plan to build a home together, and we hope to travel the world while exploring different cultures and cuisine.
