we're getting married

We headed to my hometown, Plano, TX to spend the weekend with family and go to the State Fair of Texas. The fair has been a major Davis family tradition since I could walk. I'm pretty sure I was born into loving corn dogs and salt water laffy taffy! I hadn't been able to go for the past couple years so I was especially looking forward to our trip and adding Layne to our family tradition. I remember getting ready and asking Layne what I should wear. He said "Whatever you feel the most beautiful in." So I went for a flannel shirt lol Once we gathered at the fair we met my grandparents, cousins, aunts, and uncles for a full day at the fair. We headed to Big Tex to take some photos and grab corn dogs. To my surprise I saw my sister Emily had flown from Atlanta to surprise us! I started crying as I often do when I get hit with a good surprise. It all made sense why my mom was acting so weird! Emily suggested we hit the wine garden to celebrate. Layne asked my parents to take a photo of us in front of the wine garden. Before I knew it he was down on one knee asking "Will you marry me?" The second I saw him kneel down I burst into tears. "Well, will you?" I think I nodded yes as I continued to sob. My family and many strangers were all gathered as they cheered and celebrated this very special moment at a place that is so close to my heart.
