We met at some point in the summer before freshmen year. Jorge was at the community pool with some friends as Evelyn walked in as well to join the group. The day they met they instantly clicked and became friends. They had an unspoken affection towards each other. Over the years they would see each other and would look at each other from a far without professing the affection and attraction that they had for each other. On March 11, 2020, after over more than 10 years from the last time they saw each other, they met up to have a quick bite at Tijuana Taxi. The pandemic hit them and for the next few weeks they fell in love. They began a journey together since then with each other and son Alejandro

We were on a family trip to Blue Ridge Mountain; we were staying at a beautiful cabin with a few friends. The group had divided into two groups to do task around the cabin. The women went out to go grocery shopping while the men stayed back in the cabin to do things. As the women came back from the groceries, Jorge was “missing” from the cabin. One of the guests asked Evelyn where Jorge was and she started to look for him, when she heard music playing from the master room of the cabin. As she walked up to the room, she found rose pedals all over the floor and found Jorge standing outside the deck on one knee. As Jorge was on his knee professing his love to Evelyn, she was holding back her tears and she squeaked as loud as her voice could and said “YES!” We are so excited to celebrate our love with each and one of you.
