Evelyn had a 3 month internship in Dallas at the start of 2022. Packing up her college apartment and having her mom drive her down to Texas. It didn't take long for them to notice each other. The first time Hunter really looked at his new neighbor was when he had taken his dog out to the complex's dog park. Evelyn was heading out of her apartment to run some weekend errands. He immediatly thought "This is the girl I'm going to marry". The next few weeks Hunter had spent his evenings and weekends grilling lunches and dinners. All so that when Evelyn walked by he could offer her some food. Every evening on the way home from work, Evelyn was on the phone with her mom saying "He's outside AGAIN mom! who grills out THAT much?!" Not knowing who he was dealing with, a month of this had came and went. "Hey, I'm grilling fajitas tonight, you want some?" "Nope I'm good." Eventually Evelyn's dad and brother came to visit during spring break. With the three of them cramped in the studio, Evelyn decided to join Hunter and his friends for a quick bite.

Hunter and Evelyn are an easy going couple. Either a nice night in or going to a local spot down the street with a few friends. This week Hunter had said "Lets go to Bellini's for dinner on Friday." Evelyn loving Italian food didn't think twice about it and agreed. Arriving to the restaurant that night, Champagne had arrived at the table. Evelyn questioned Hunter, especially since champagne isn't something Hunter drinks, and with herself not typically one to order anything other than water or sweet tea, something was up. Hunter brushed it off saying "My grandad called ahead and made our reservation and I guess got a bottle for us." They had gone about dinner as usual. Asked for the check and the owner came back with a handful of roses, throwing them up in the air saying "Happy Engagement!" Evelyn saying "What?" and Hunter freezing up said "I haven't asked her yet."
