Along the Pan-American Highway is this theme park that was built as a film set by Billy Huges. It filmed about 150 national and international films, including "The bandits" starring Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek. Now it is a tourist attraction and every weekend they show western-style shows with cowboys, Can-Can girls and Apache Indians. How to get there? Free transportation leaving half an hour before each show from the Plaza de Armas (5 minutes from the hotel) in Durango, the return is one hour after the end of the show.
Underground museum located 5 minutes from the hotel, with 24 feet deep and 306 yards long. This museum displays a collection with objects and mining samples, dating from the founding of the city. Entrance from the Plazita de Juan Pablo II.

You can enjoy the spectacular view of part of the Historic Center of Durango to 82 meters high over a distance of 750 meters. It has stations in the Cerro de los Remedios and Barrio del Calvario. It also has an amazing lookout option so that you can see the entire city.
It is seated in the Palacio de Zambrano, with a beautiful baroque facade. The museum consists of 10 rooms with different themes; in the permanent rooms infographics, models, objects, photographs, graphics and videos, narrating childhood, the revolutionary struggle and place in the history of Mexico of General Villa, also known as the "Centaur of the North" are displayed.
Now a pedestrian corridor, in this walk you have everything you need to enjoy the Historic Center of Durango: cafes, restaurants of all kinds, bars, ice cream shops, temples, handicraft shops and several shops. From here you can also see the nun Beatriz who appears in the bell tower of the cathedral at full moon. On weekends several shows will be set up for the whole family to enjoy.
