Evelyn was there for her friend (Shan, her sister and gfs) and fries. Briton joined as the quiet plus-one (Colin). Neither planned to meet their person- but one conversation turned into a life together. After a few hours of watching March Madness at Art Marble, the group headed back to Shan and Colin’s apartment in Eastlake. Some pizza and wine to end the night, people started trickling away home or to sleep. Briton bravely offered to walk Evelyn home, which was only a hop and skip away from the McPartland’s place. As they nervously arrived to Evelyn’s front door, Briton holding his phone out but not saying anything, Evelyn asked if he wanted to get her number and he obviously handed that phone over for her. They went on their first date the next evening, dinner at Haymaker down the road from Briton’s apartment. Like two shy people, unknowingly falling in love, they played with his VR set after dinner at his place, had a night cap then Briton walked her to her car. Few moments of standing in the rain trying to figure out how to end the night, Evelyn asked if he was going to kiss her, shy giggles from both followed by a perfect first kiss, made both of them fall head over heels.
