Eveline and Michael met on the night shift at Keck Medical center of USC in 2014. They were both working in the ICU on a busy night that started with a code blue. The unit was insanely busy but even in the chaos, she noticed him. She shyly asked her best friend Rosy (who was also working in the ICU that night) who he was. She could tell that Eveline was interested and introduced them. They talked every moment they could that night, and by the end of the shift it was apparent how much they liked each other. That night, Michael Invited Eveline to a party he was having in his house, Eveline did not go. He called her the day after and told her he had noticed her absence. That gesture impressed her, and she agreed to go to dinner with him. They started dating shortly after. In 2017, on a trip to the amazon rainforest in Peru, they decided to pursue a deeper connection. They had been in the jungle for weeks and it revealed how right they were for one another. They fell in love and could not see a life without the other. In 2019 they went to Egypt for the first time. Eveline was beyond excited; she had dreamt of going to Egypt since she was a child. Michael took the opportunity while they were there to make the trip more memorable. He waited until they were alone and away from the pushy vendors who kept following him. Alone on the base of the great pyramid in Giza, He asked, “will you marry me?" Eveline happily said yes. They were legally married in a civil ceremony on the last few days of 2020 without their family and friends because of COVID-19. They thank Rosy and the night shift for bringing them together. Please Join them on Zoom as they say their vows in front of their family and friends.
