Our Wedding

Our paths first crossed during the winter of 2021 at a regularly scheduled Wednesday night youth service at LifePoint Church in Smyrna, Tennessee. That particular week, the youth ministry decided to try name tags at check-in. Looking to entertain her friends, Eve collected as many name tags as she could and began sticking them on the backs of anunsuspecting stranger in front of her. It wasn't long before he noticed, turned around, and asked, “What’s your name?” followed by, “Are you a sophomore?” Little did either of us know, that was only the beginning. Just a month later, Eve spotted Keagan at the restaurant where she worked—it was his first day on the job. Although he only stayed there for a few months, a friendship quickly developed. Over time, we continued seeing each other at Wednesday night services, but our interactions remained casual. By the spring of 2022, Eve discovered that they shared a mutual friend and asked for Keagan’s contact information. From that point on, we talked constantly and began spending more time together. Throughout that summer, Keagan repeatedly asked Eve to be his girlfriend, but she was quick to turn him down. As she prepared to leave for college in the fall, Eve was hesitant to begin her first relationship long-distance. She also wasn’t quite sure how she felt about dating someone younger than herself. Despite every rejection, Keagan never seemed discouraged. When the fall of 2022 arrived, we went our separate ways. Although we stayed in touch occasionally, life became busy, and we gradually drifted apart. Everything changed over Christmas break. We reconnected, and throughout the spring of 2023 our conversations grew stronger than ever. When Eve returned home from college at the end of April, we picked up right where we had left off, spending as much time together as possible. By then, Eve realized that the things that had once held her back no longer mattered—especially when Keagan had patiently waited and remained by her side for over a year. On May 4, 2023, our relationship officially began. After three wonderful years together, and, according to Keagan, plenty of persistence from Eve, the next chapter began when we got engaged on May 9, 2026. We are so excited to celebrate with all of you as we begin our new adventure together on May 13, 2027.
