We met on Eve’s first day of swim practice her freshman year of high school. We were great friends for a few years and I asked Eve to my Prom in 2013. After that, we were inseparable, even though I left for college a few months later. Now, we are both in the last phases of our educations and are hoping to settle down somewhere (hopefully the same place!) in the next few years.

Gus came to visit me in New York for the first time after I moved here to start my Grad program in September 2019. I had been missing him and decided it was time for us to take the next step. So, I proposed! We went to Fort Tryon Park near my apartment, and after a long wait while Gus watched dogs at the dog park, I finally popped the question. While he was surprised, here we are now!
