Things To Do

The Presbytère

751 Chartres Street, New Orleans, LA 70116

A Louisiana State Museum with excellent exhibits on the history and culture of New Orleans Mardi Gras and Hurricane Katrina and it's aftermath on the City. The Museum is located in Jackson Square, the heart of the French Quarter, and it is a great place to walk around and explore.

Cajun Encounters Swamp Tours

New Orleans, LA 70116

"Embark on a tour of the renowned Honey Island Swamp with Cajun Encounters. Glide through gator territory aboard a small, flat-bottomed boat, while our local expert captains share fascinating insights about the swamp and its natural inhabitants....[they] offer transportation packages that include pickup services from numerous French Quarter hotels and visitor centers."

Café Du Monde – City Park

56 Dreyfous Drive, New Orleans, LA 70124

We will always recommend the Cafe Du Monde in City Park over the one in the French Quarter. The beignets are just better and the scenery cannot be beaten.
