We met at the annual HÍ vs. HR party in university. Birkir was talking to mutual friend of ours when Eva suddenly enter the conversion with her "dólgslæti"! According to Birkir that was the moment he knew there was something about this girl that he liked.

Eva had high expectations that Birkir was going to propose to her, because he once said (without thinking) that he would do that and Eva could not do it herself. After two romantic oversees trips and countless "hints" (not really hints more when are you going to propose to ME!) Eva lost her patients when Birkir announced that a proposal was not really his thing. Then Eva right out asked Birkir "Do you want to marry me?" and Birkir said "Yes", Eva answer "Perfect, then we are engaged"!
