Question

The invitation says to RSVP by June 20 but I just got my invitation on June 19! Is it too late to RSVP?

Answer

Our apologies, it took a little longer to mail out invitations than anticipated. The new RSVP date is June 27.

Question

What safety measures are you taking in light of the COVD-19 pandemic?

Answer

All attendees of the wedding are required to wear masks, guests will be seated as far apart as possible, and we will be holding the reception outside.

Question

Is the wedding in Georgia or Tennessee?

Answer

Lookout Mountain is on the border between Georgia and Tennessee. Christ Reformed Baptist Church is on the Tennessee side of Lookout Mountain.

Question

What food will be at the reception?

Answer

There will be light appetizers immediately following the ceremony while pictures are being taken. For dinner we will have Chick-fil-A (sandwiches, mac and cheese, and salad).

Question

Will there be dancing at the reception?

Answer

This is yet to be determined, but if we do have dancing, everyone on the dance floor will be required to wear masks.

Question

Will masks be provided?

Answer

We encourage everyone to bring their own masks. We will have a few extra masks for people who forget to bring their own.

Question

Will guests be seated six feet apart?

Answer

Guests will be seated as far apart from each other as possible, but there might not be enough room in the sanctuary for everyone to be seated six feet part. This is one of the many reasons we are requiring guests to wear face masks.

Question

Do masks actually prevent the spread of the virus?

Answer

According to the CDC¹ and the WHO², cloth face masks are beneficial in reducing the spread of COVID-19 by people who are asymptomatic or pre-symptomatic. Therefore we are requiring everyone to wear cloth face masks in order to prevent a guest from spreading COVID-19 to other guests, if that guest is sick but is not exhibiting symptoms of the virus. ¹https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html ²https://apps.who.int/iris/handle/10665/332293
