What gifts can we get you?

Answer

We made a cash sinking fund registry with a few different options. If you'd like to make a contribution to our honeymoon, flights, or to our home renovation projects that would be wonderful! We don't expect anything, but we do know some of you have been asking. For the most part we have everything we need and felt that cash contributions would be better than throw pillows. Any amount you're willing to contribute we would be grateful for! (be expecting your thank you cards to be post cards from Fiji!)

Will you have a wedding?

Answer

In short, no. We really wanted to celebrate with all of you on this special day, but we felt that buying our first home was a better long term investment. The wedding tax these days is a bit out of control, venues alone were more than a downpayment, and we didn't feel it would be the best financial situation to be in as newlyweds. This doesn't mean we love you any less or didn't want you all to be there to celebrate us, and we hope we can plan an amazing party in the future!

Where's the honeymoon?

Answer

We'll be heading to The Remote Resort in Fiji! Since we didn't have a wedding we wanted to have an unforgettable experience. It's at an all inclusive private resort where we'll be in a villa on the oceanside. (huge upgrade from our typical backpack trash budget trips) We wanted to make this trip our opportunity to exchange vows, wear our dress and tux, and have a honeymoon/elopement that felt more special than a trip to the DMV.
