What airport is recommended?
Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) is approximately 45 minutes from Spring Island. Charleston International Airport (CHS) is an additional option and is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes from the island.
Where should we book accommodations?
One of the many things we love about Spring Island is its tight-knit community and the graciousness of the members. Residents customarily host wedding guests in their guest houses for the wedding weekend, allowing you to come and go as you please. Each guest cottage is unique, and accommodations will include private bedrooms and common spaces that may be shared with other wedding guests. We are covering your accommodations; however, we kindly ask that each room contributes a housekeeping fee, which will be collected as a gesture of appreciation for the member's generosity.
When should we arrive?
Accommodations will be available from October 9-11. We encourage guests to arrive on Friday to get the full Spring Island experience. Check-out will be Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
How do I get to Spring Island from the airport?
We highly encourage guests to secure a rental car, schedule a private car service like “The Point”, or carpool with other guests who have similar schedules. Ride-share services such as Uber are not readily available and can be difficult, unreliable, and costly to obtain.
Am I able to drive to Spring Island?
Yes! Parking will be available at your accommodation. Having a car gives you the flexibility to explore the island and the surrounding areas at your leisure. Please let us know if you plan to drive so we can notify the front gate of your arrival.
