The 1st time Kelly and Ed met was at Lehigh Valley Health Network working together in the OR. On Ed's last day as a manager, he helped staff a urology room due to call outs. The other nurse Ed happened to be working with was Abbe, who was a neuro nurse. Needless to say, the odds were very slim that Ed and Abbe would be working in the same room! Over the years Kelly & Abbe had developed a strong working relationship that developed into a beautiful friendship. As Abbe & Ed spent the day working together, Abbe was also putting out feelers if Ed was dating anyone. This prompted Ed to ask WHY? She mentioned that she had a friend that would be a great fit with him! Ed spent the rest of the day asking Abbe all about Kelly. That following week, Ed reached out to Kelly & the texting began.
