Wedding Party

Meet the people who will stand with us as we get married on August 23rd!

Monica Lemke

Matron of Honor

I met Monica my sophomore year at Baylor, but when she moved into our house at the beginning of our junior year, we became deep friends & besties quickly and have been ever since! Though almost all of our friendship has been long distance, Monica has been a faithful friend and wise counselor as we've navigated life since those fun college roomie years.

Emily Goudreault

Matron of Honor

Emily and I met in the third grade and have been best buds ever since! From carpooling to kids choir, youth group shenanigans, our Baylor years & being roomies, to navigating adult life, Emily has been a faithful friend across many different life seasons. I love getting to visit her in Minnesota and am so thankful for our years of friendship.

Isabella Caparas

Bridesmaid

Isa is my current (and final female) roommate! In our time being roommates, we've gone on lots of adventures near and far and have walked through both difficult and joyful seasons together. Isa's foray into the wild world of dating apps (and consequent dating relationship, engagement, and upcoming wedding) inspired me to give it a shot, and I'm forever thankful for that since it led me to Andrew.

Erika Crowe

Bridesmaid

Erika and I became fast friends when we met at church and I can't imagine these last years in Houston without her! I love any time I get with Erika, and especially getting to chat while watercoloring, going with her to her pottery studio, or checking out a cool Houston spot. She is both super fun & funny and a deep well of wisdom and insight.

Jem Marshall

Bridesmaid

Jem is a dear friend and sister to me. We originally met through church, and it has been a joy and a privilege to walk closely over these last years. We love a good deep talk, and are pretty much constantly exchanging podcast recommendations and article links. I treasure my friendship with Jem and I know that I have been changed for the better by being her friend.

Allison McBrayer

Bridesmaid

Alli and I were roommates for several years in Houston, which forged a deep and fun friendship. Among other things, Alli taught me a lot about art and how to appreciate it, which I'm so thankful for. We've spent many a day wandering around art museums. Alli is a generous and intentional friend, one of the best gift givers I know, and it is such a joy to be her friend!

Megan Mitchell

Bridesmaid

Megan is my cousin (our moms are sisters), so she wins the prize for knowing me the longest! I'm so thankful for her and all of our family memories over the years. We have lots of fun memories from growing up, from playing in our grandparent's shed to cousin trips and family holidays. I always love getting time with Megan!

Rachel Morrow

Bridesmaid

Rachel is a dear friend who I originally met through church. Rachel is an encourager and lives her life with such intention. I have so many sweet memories of long conversations over the dinner table or on the couch in her home. Rachel stands with her friends in faith, and I am so thankful for how she has encouraged me and believed with me through the difficult and joyful seasons of life.

Leslie Sanchez

Bridesmaid

Leslie and I met through church right after both of us moved back to the Houston area as young adults entering the real world! It has been a joy to have Leslie as a friend over all of these years. We've been roommates, traveled all over the world together, and more recently now get to work together on staff at our church. I love Leslie's spontaneity and how she brings fun & joy wherever she goes, and I also love her depth and wise insights.

Ben Kirchhofer

Best Man

Ol' Benny and I have been friends since 9th grade, rooming together through college, and remaining close friends through a lot of life together. He is a man of wisdom and faithfulness, a rare gift from God who has been by my side no matter what. I count myself richly blessed to have such a friend.

Ben Cassidy

Groomsman

Ben and I met in college (GIG EM) and have grown as friends ever onward through the years. We share a love for books and board games, and it has been such a delight to share both the mundane and the deep things of life as we bumble our way through it all with a shared twinkle in our eyes.

Abe Erdos

Groomsman

Abe and I met at church in 2015 and have been roommates since 2019. I would say that he stands to inherit the mantle of Houston's Most Eligible Bachelor, but let's be honest: he already holds the title. Abe is a man of deep strength, wisdom, and kindness, stewarding his many God-given talents and gifts with an enduring faith. I hope to be more like him when I grow up!

Matt Esquivel

Groomsman

Matt and I met at church in 2015 and have been roommates since 2020. Whether it's elaborate fantasy football smack talking, long-running dungeons and dragons storylines, a Nicolas Cage film of dubious quality watched late into the night, or one of our many life conversations held in our kitchen and living room over the years, Matt has been a steadfast and loyal friend who has blessed me tremendously with his faithful love and joy.

Daniel Evans

Groomsman

So I guess I've known Daniel for as long as he's been around! I remember being so excited for my little brother to be born, and it has been such a long and growing list of shared memories that we have built over the years together. From dumb home videos as kids to mountaintop treks as adults, I have always loved spending time with Daniel and appreciate his depth of thought and character, his perseverance and his loyalty. What a rare gift to have such brothers as God has given me.

Erik Evans

Groomsman

The big mug himself: Erik has known me my entire life, I suppose! We have shared many interests, hobbies, and obscure movie references from Day 1, and it has been such a delight to walk beside him as the Fun Uncle to his four wonderful kiddos. I appreciate his servant heart and joyful spirit and for blazing the path forward so I could learn from his mistakes. It is such a gift that we brothers have all grown so close over the years.

Ryan Gilmore

Groomsman

Good ol' Munchkin Bear and I have been friends since the 5th grade if you can believe it! Rooming together in college and a few years beyond brought us closer, but Ryan has always been a faithful friend as we've grown up and into God's plans for our lives. I am grateful for his steadfast love through the years and hope that someday he might actually succeed at fantasy football.

Brian Grant

Groomsman

Brian and I met in the fall of 2015 in a community group at church and quickly realized that we were destined to be friends. I so love and appreciate Brian's depth of thought coupled with his heartfelt joy at both the big and the simple things of life. We have shared many board game nights and Bible study planning sessions, meals and memories that I cherish and hope to repeat.

Calvin Smith

Groomsman

Calvin and I met in the honors dorm at A&M during the fall of 2010--playing a board game in the hallway late into the night--and we have been close friends ever since. Knowing and sharing life with Calvin has been such a joy to me over the years: playing board games, learning new recipes, solving the mysteries of the cosmos, or just belly laughing at the most unexplainable things together. I am so grateful we found each other and have stuck with each other; I look forward to many more years together.
