Travel Note
If you're able to stay a few extra days or a week, there are tons of cool places to explore within driving distance of Denver. Here are some of our favorites: 1) Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park: about 1-1.5 hrs from Denver; this beautiful national park has something for everyone! Trail Ridge Road allows you amazing views from the car and there are endless hiking opportunities within the park. 2) Breckenridge, Frisco and Lake Dillon: roughly 1.5 hrs from Denver; ski town with lots of hiking and mountain biking options in the summer. Check out Lake Dillon for boat or kayak rentals!
