We have great news, West Virginia has given us the clear to have our wedding day as planned & we could not be more excited! We will be taking all the necessary precautions to keep our friends & family safe while celebrating our big day. We ask any guests that are experience a fever and/or feel under the weather the week leading up to the big day that you & your family stay home to keep us safe. Thank you to everyone for your patience & support through all these past few months.
Nick and I knew each other primarily through his brother Josh. Josh and I were friends and graduated from Petersburg High School together. We also attended the same church for several years where Nick and I saw each other every week. When the timing was in our favor, Nick asked me out on a date. We went to Stray Cat Cafe and saw Get Out in the theater, after that it was not long before we went out on a second date. It was probably the second date that I knew he was someone I wanted to spend my days with, he says he knew all along we would be perfect together. It turned out to be the best date of our lives! We spent every day together for the rest of that summer and by fall we had turned into quite the fairy tail love story.
I was pretty sure this day was coming but it felt like I had waited forever! The week prior we had added a new member of family, Waffles, our sweet little golden doodle puppy! It had been Nick's plan all along to incorporate the puppy with the proposal, and on this day we were taking some photos in the yard of the three of us. After several photos with her, Nick asked me if I had any other ideas for photos, I was out of plans and ready to go eat. "No I think I have attempted all of my photo ideas" I said. As I turned around I heard him say "what about this idea". I wish I could tell you what he said after that, my mind went blank and my heart leaped out of my chest! I do know I got a very silent yet excited "yes" out of my mouth and we were both laughing in each other's arms. I am so fortunate my lifelong friend and Maid Of Honor, Kaitlin, was there to capture the moment!
