FAQs

Some additional information for the weekend!
Question

Dress code?

Answer

Dress code for the ceremony and reception is formal or cocktail - think tea-length/midi to floor-length dresses and long pants with a button up. Joe will not be wearing a tie :) For those who enjoy wearing heels...the ceremony will be on grass in the park so just want to give you a heads up! The reception will be indoor/outdoor mix; the tented area outside is a brick courtyard and indoors is the most heels-friendly.

Question

Where are good places to eat and drink in the area?

Answer

Downtown Northampton and the surrounding area have a ton of great places to eat and drink. You really can't go wrong, but a few places we recommend are: - Paul and Elizabeth's (Vegetarian) - Local Burger (Burgers) - Amanouz Cafe (Mediterranean) - Osaka (Sushi) - Veracruzana (Mexican) - Wild Roots (Salads and smoothies) - Homestead (Farm to table) - Familiars (Coffee) - Shelburne Falls (Coffee) - Esselon Cafe (Coffee and sandwiches) - Herrell's (Ice Cream) - Treehouse (Brewery) - Protocol (Drinks and bites) - The Dirty Truth (Cocktails and bites) - The Harp (Irish Pub)

Question

What transportation can we expect to be provided?

Answer

There will be transportation provided from all of the hotels to the ceremony site, "the Sanctuary at Willow Lake" at Look Park, from the ceremony site back up to the reception area at "the Garden House" at Look Park, and from the reception to the after party location Wiggin's Tavern at the Northampton Hotel. Please note there will be not be transportation provided for getting back to hotels after the after party at the Wiggin's Tavern at the Northampton Hotel, for example, back to the Fairfield by Marriott 0.7 miles up the street. There are plenty of ubers/lyfts/rideshares and taxis available in the area due to the local universities, as well as the local PVTA buses.

Question

What is there to do in the area?

Answer

If you're looking to get outside over the weekend, there are countless great spots nearby in Western Mass for hiking, biking, swimming, walking, or hanging out. Some of our favorites are: - Mt Tom - Smith College Botanical Garden - Look Park (not just a beautiful wedding venue!) - Puffer's Pond - Mill River - Northampton Rail Trail

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We are sticking to adults only for our celebration!
