It all started on October 10, 2022, during a random FaceTime call. Shane was chatting with her old roommate when Evans suddenly popped in, asking question after question. Shane, being Shane, answered politely… not realizing he would ask her out to lunch within 5 minutes. She thought it was networking. He thought it was a date. 😄 There was some ghosting involved (okay… maybe twice… or three times 👀), but they eventually reconnected. Evans kept inviting Shane to different churches, even though he lived in Whitby and she was in Mississauga (clearly, he was determined, and Shane was irresistible). After endless conversations, a trip to the beach after church, some SDA wine, and a heartfelt “Is the door still open?” moment… Shane said, “Maybe.” One week later, they started dating.
