The easiest option is to fly into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). From there, you can rent a car or take Groome Transportation to Macon. Macon is about 75–80 miles south of the airport, or roughly a 1¼–1½ hour drive depending on traffic.
Macon has some great places to stay, from charming boutique hotels downtown to larger hotel chains. We’ve listed a few recommendations below. There are also plenty of great Airbnbs in and around downtown Macon.
