Multnomah Falls
Use this link to purchase a parking pass which serves as a day pass for you and your group. This is an absolutely breathtaking waterfall with options for a brief walk or a 3-mile hike, and is one of our favorites to do in the summer.
Langdon Farms Golf Club
This is a beautiful public 18-hole golf course that is 10 minutes from the Packman Property. There is also a driving range that is open to the public during business hours that is a great activity to do with younger kids. Sydney worked here almost every summer of college!
George Rogers Park
This riverfront beach is the best place to swim in the Willamette River, get ice cream at the Lake Oswego Creamery or Salt & Straw (3-minute drive), and lie in the sun. When the Packmans first moved to Oregon, they spent every day here, rain or shine! This is also the location Evan got baptized here when he was 10 years old!
Pittock Mansion
Another amazing place to see a city view! This is one of the original historic homes in the Portland area, and is on the border of the Japanese Gardens, Rose Garden, Washington Park and Hoyt Arboritum.
South Waterfront Sky Tram
This commuter sky tram is one of the best ways to see the entire city - Evan took Sydney here after dinner one evening on one of her favorite dates a few summers ago.
Cannon Beach
A farther drive from Portland, but the best Oregon Coast experience you could wish for. Evan & Sydney planned their first event together here and it’s what made them such close friends when they were only 15.
Northwest 23rd Avenue
One of our favorite places for eating out, seeing city lights, and shopping at local businesses. Some of our must-stops are: 1. Papa Hayden’s for dessert 2. Eb & Bean for frozen yogurt 3. Fireside for dinner 4. Crossroads for vintage 5. Barista for coffee
Oregon Zoo
You can’t beat the zoo! This is perfect for those of you with families. It is less than a 10-minute drive to Northwest 23rd if you want to get into the city afterward or before. Evan also helped remodel the gift shop roof with Swinerton this past year.
Sellwood - Moreland
The Sellwood-Moreland Neighborhood is perfect for Sunday brunch, second-hand shopping, and coffee shop visits. Here are some of our favorites: 1. Bastion - GF/DF/RSF restaurant 2. Fetch Coffee Roasters 3. Star Antiques 4. Yours Truly - coffee and wine bar 5. Oaks Park - amusement / fair park / roller skating
K1 Speed Portland-Hillsboro
This is one of Evan’s favorite activities to do with his close guy friends, brothers, and dad! It’s about a 30 minute drive from the Packman Property and is on the way to the Oregon Coast.
Hoffman Farms Store
Berry picking, train rides, a bakery, and homemade milkshakes… Sydney worked here in high school, and going berry picking was something Evan never went a summer without! This place is close by and has been a family run farm for over 150 years.
