Evan and Shannon first met at a job interview in Nashville February of 2015. Shannon, being a Michigan girl, was immediately drawn to the cute Texas blondie in cowboy boots! They became great friends through work, soccer club, nights out on the town with co-workers, etc. Shannon and Evan found themselves together on a group trip in the Smokey Mountains of Gatlinburg, TN. A passionate evening seemed to vanish as quickly as it came, however, in the Winter of 2016, Shannon sent Evan a text message that would entwine the two forever. Shannon and her cousin Melissa, who was visiting for the weekend, had invited cabin-boy (Evan did not know or approve of his nickname, he would have preferred Evan the Majestic) out to Tequila Cowboy on Broadway St. in Nashville. After a night of FUN, Evan was determined to win Shannon’s heart from that point on. Finally, after six continuous months of back-and-forth texts, sporadic meet-ups and the occasional wink, Evan finally got his chance to woo Hummingbird (Shannon’s nickname). It came on a late summer evening at the Birds nest (Evan’s house). Evan cooked an amazing wine smoked salmon dinner with a dim candle light that illuminated the evening. When Evan gave Shannon a single red rose, she knew she met someone very special! It has been a wild ride ever since!!
