What does "Garden Formal" mean?

Answer

Dressy, polished attire appropriate for an outdoor celebration. It is suggested that women wear cocktail-length or floor-length dresses, or a dressy jumpsuit and men wear suits or sport coats with dress pants. Ties are optional. Please avoid jeans, shorts, or overly casual footwear.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! We have blocked 10 one-night rooms and an additional 5 two-night rooms at the Renaissance Hotel (See the "Travel" tab for the exact address). Guests will receive a dedicated link to make reservations at a group rate. This is first come, first served. Any unreserved rooms will be released two weeks before the first check-in date, so if you are planning to reserve a room in the block, with a group rate, it must be done prior to August 21st, 2026.

Are children invited?

Answer

Children are welcome to attend the ceremony; however, the reception is an adult-only celebration.

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

We kindly request that you RSVP by August 10, 2026, so we can finalize the details and plan for a wonderful celebration!

Question

Is transportation to the ceremony or the reception provided?

Answer

Guests are responsible for their own transportation to the ceremony. Please keep Chicago traffic, which tends to be slow on Fridays, in mind. Shuttle service will be provided by the Renaissance Hotel to and from the reception venue.

I am driving myself, where should I park?

Answer

Parking lots will be available and directly adjacent to both the ceremony and reception site.
