Katherine and Evan first met during the first semester of freshman year at IUPUI. They crossed paths with each other often while at college, including around campus, through mutual friends, and in between classes, when they would enjoy small conversations with each other. This was partially due to Katherine being an orientation leader and becoming acquainted with Evan through his roommate and best friend, Michael. One night, Katherine and Evan ended up at a Mexican restaurant, La Parada, on the east side of Indianapolis. They were so captivated with each other, stealing glances and making each other laugh amongst a group of friends they loved, and it was clear that something special was forming between them. That night, Evan asked her on their first date. Within 3 weeks they began dating on November 28th, 2019. 5 years later, Evan proposed to Katherine on November 8th, 2024. Now, they will be getting married this year on November 15th! November is now always a special month for them.
