This is an amazing aquarium in the Baltimore Inner Harbor and is close by the hotel where the room block is (The Royal Sonesta).
Fells Point is a beautiful, historic neighborhood in Baltimore. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping areas. Evan and Val's favorite lobster roll and orange crush drink can be found at Thames Street Oyster House in Fells Point. Live bands play all day at the Cat's Eye Pub right next door to Thames Street Oyster House. You will need a reservation for Thames Street! Pro tip: Check out the water taxi from Federal Hill and that can take you to Fells Point across the harbor (https://www.baltimorewatertaxi.com/).
This is a beautiful park near our hotel and venue. We used to walk our dog, Libby, here all the time when we lived in Federal Hill. Federal Hill has lots of bars and restaurants (our first date back in August 2019 was at Blue Agave in Federal Hill).
Harbor East is a stylish neighborhood on the water with tons of shopping and amazing restaurants. Val and Evan's favorite restaurant in Harbor East is Azumi (Asian/sushi) where we have celebrated many special occasions over the years. If you want a breathtaking view of Baltimore (from 314 feet up) and a fancy cocktail, we recommend the Bygone which is a roof top bar in the Four Seasons in Harbor East (https://www.thebygonerestaurant.com/).
Love art? Too hot outside? Our favorite contemporary museum is American Visionary Art Museum and is 0.5 miles away from the Royal Sonesta Hotel room block.
MARYLAND CRABS: A staple for our out-of-town guests. Options below: 1.) Nick's Fish House: Known for its quality crabs and outdoor seating by the water, which can fill up quickly on weekends. 2.) LP Steamers: Highly regarded for fresh crabs in Federal Hill. 3.) Captain James Crab House: Offers all-you-can-eat crab options with views of the Canton Waterfront.
