Our wedding will take place on Saturday, September 6th at the Providence G in Providence, RI (100 Dorrance St, Providence, RI 02901), with all events happening within the same venue. - Ceremony: 4:30-5:00pm and Cocktail Hour: 5:00pm on the Rooftop at the Providence G - Reception: 6:00pm in the Ballroom at the Providence G - After Party: 11:00pm-1:00am at GPub Bar and Restaurant (located downstairs in the same venue) No need to worry about traveling between locations—just bring your best party energy! 🎉
Our wedding is semi-formal, so no need for black tie (unless you’re trying to outdo us 😉). Cocktail attire is perfect—think a suit or blazer with dress pants and dress shoes for men. For women, a dress, dressy jumpsuit, or something you’d wear to a nice event works great. Ties are optional but always a solid choice. Just come dressed to celebrate, dance, and look amazing!
The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm, so plan to arrive and find a seat on the rooftop about 20–30 minutes ahead of time. If you're staying in Providence, the hotel blocks we've secured are very short walks from the venue, making it easy to get there on time!
We’d love to celebrate with everyone, but due to venue capacity and our planned headcount, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on the invitations. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
While we love your little ones, we’re keeping the celebration limited to the guests included on the invitations due to our planned headcount. We appreciate your understanding!
Yes! We've reserved a limited number of rooms at two nearby hotels, both just a short walk from the venue. You can book online directly from the Travel section of our website. We recommend booking early to secure your stay! Please note that each room in the block has a two-night minimum, so keep that in mind when booking. Hampton Inn & Suites Providence Downtown 📍 58 Weybosset Street, Providence, RI 02903 The Beatrice 📍 90 Westminster St, Providence, RI 02903
Both hotels are just a quick and easy walk to the venue, so we don’t have transportation planned at this time. If you need any help or assistance getting to the venue on the day, just let us know—we’re happy to help!
Parking in the city is never easy! We got you, though. For those who might be driving to the venue, the Providence G will be providing a valet service for our guests for the duration of the ceremony until the end of the reception. More details coming soon! Reach out if you have any questions in advance.
The ceremony will be held outdoors on the rooftop of the Providence G, with no roof covering us. We’re hoping for clear skies, warm weather, and a beautiful skyline view, but you may want to be prepared for a breeze—just in case. The cocktail hour will also be on the rooftop, but if the weather is too cool or rainy, it will be held under a protected glass ceiling, so no need to worry about that! The reception and after party will both be indoors, so once we head downstairs, you can dance the night away without checking the weather.
We don’t even want to put this answer out into the universe because we’re so looking forward to a beautiful rooftop ceremony—but, if Rhode Island weather has other plans, don’t worry. We’re prepared, and the venue staff will direct everyone accordingly to keep the celebration running smoothly!
It’s like you don’t know us at all… yes, of course! The cocktail hour and reception will both have an open bar—so come thirsty! 🍸🥂🍻
We’ll be having a sit-down, plated meal during the reception, with several options to choose from on your invitation—including a vegetarian option. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you. And because no great night ends without snacks, late-night bites will be available during the after party at GPub!
We have the amazing photo duo of Danforth Neal Photography capturing all the special moments, so you can sit back and enjoy the ceremony. While we won’t stop guests from taking their own photos and videos, please be mindful of when and where you’re snapping pictures so everyone has a clear view of the special moments.
Oh, there WILL be dancing—don’t you worry. We’ve got a fantastic band ready to bring some of the best song and dance vibes you’ve ever heard.
We’re looking into planning a brunch on Sunday morning, September 7th for anyone who wants to keep the celebration going. More details to come soon—stay tuned!
Providence is a fantastic little city with tons to do, see, and—most importantly—great places to eat and grab a drink. We’ve put together some recommendations in the Things To Do section of our website, so be sure to check it out!
We’re pretty simple guys and already have most of the necessities covered. Gifts are incredibly appreciated, of course, and we’ve added some ideas in the Registry section of our website—but no pressure at all. We’re just excited to celebrate with all of you!
Of course! We immensely appreciate the gesture. There will be a gift table set up in the ballroom at the reception, and our amazing wedding planning team will be happy to take any gifts upon arrival so you’re not stuck holding them through the ceremony and cocktail hour.
We’re so sorry we’ll miss you! If you can’t make it, please indicate this on your invitation when you RSVP. If something comes up after you’ve already sent in your RSVP, please email us at RaysUpWedding@gmail.com and Isabelle@marreroevents.com so we can update our plans accordingly.
Before the wedding, feel free to call or text Evan or Steve with any questions. On the day of the event, please reach out to Isabelle at Marrero Events at (781) 385-1957 or Paula Marrero at (978) 828-5324—they’ve got everything covered!
