Our first date was back in 2018 where we went out for ice cream at Coldstone followed by a short hike at sunset at Rotary Park. It was freezing at the time in January - but never too cold for ice cream

Evan's first attempt to propose was on a day we decided to explore the backcountry in Kehl, Germany on bikes during our river cruise. We planned to bike a total of 37 miles to reach an overlook in the Black Forest, but the bikes we rented were definitely not made for mountain biking. It was windy, 30-something outside, and we only made it out 14 miles. Evan had the ring in his backpack the whole time biking through the muddy farmlands. He ended up proposing in Switzerland about 3 days later!
