We're getting married!

We met for the first time at Evan's front doorstep. I was looking to join a bible study in my parent's new neighborhood, so someone at church gave me his email and I showed up! While my family was adjusting to a sudden and unexpected move to Middle TN, I was finishing my graduate degree remotely and trying to find any other young adults in the rural suburbs. Evan was working as a student minister and barista while balancing his own graduate studies. Our friendship started with morning hikes and marathon study days at my regular table at his coffee shop. Once the holiday season came (and we spent multiple isolations together), a romantic relationship quickly blossomed!

We are moving to Dallas, TX shortly after the wedding for Rebecca's full-time offer in public accounting. I plan to continue my seminary and ministry work as we build our life together in a new city. Being born and raised in Columbia, I am excited to explore new trails, disc golf courses, and coffee shops together and host frequent game nights with our friends!
