FAQs

Question

Where is the closest airport?

Answer

Naples International Airport (NAP) is a little over an hour from Ravello.

Question

How do we get from the airport to Ravello?

Answer

We suggest booking a car service in advance. We have had good experiences using the Transfeero app.

Question

Rental Car?

Answer

If you plan to rent a car, we recommend booking with a major rental company such as Hertz, Avis, or Enterprise, as they typically accept a standard U.S. driver’s license. Some smaller rental companies require an International Driving Permit (IDP) to legally rent and drive a car in Italy. Regardless of the company, we recommend double-checking requirements before booking.

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and hope you’re able to enjoy a relaxing and memorable time in Italy with us!

Question

Answer

Yes

Question

Is there a hotel block?

Answer

No

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We are staying at the Giordano Hotel, but many people are staying in other hotels or nearby Airbnbs.

Question

Will the ceremony or reception be outdoors?

Answer

Yes, weather permitting. Our ceremony will be held outdoors on grass, so block heels or comfortable shoes are encouraged.

Question

Answer

Early September in Ravello typically brings pleasant, warm weather, with average daytime temperatures around the mid-70s °F to low-80s °F and nighttime temperatures in the mid-60s °F.

Question

What should I pack?

Answer

In addition to your usual travel essentials, here are a few key items to bring for a comfortable and stress-free stay: Passport A valid passport is required to enter Italy. Make sure it’s not set to expire within six months of your travel dates. We also recommend keeping a digital and printed copy saved securely. Outlet Adapter & Voltage Converter Italy uses Type C, F, and L plugs. A universal adapter is a must. If you plan to bring high-voltage items like hair tools or steamers, also pack a voltage converter to prevent damage. Purchasing a dual voltage tool would be a great option as well. Euros in Cash Credit cards are widely accepted, but it’s helpful to have euros on hand for taxis, tips, and smaller local shops. Also, some beaches in Europe will only take cash to purchase beach chairs. To avoid high international ATM fees, consider ordering euros in advance from your bank. Light Jacket or Wrap In early September, Ravello evenings can be cool, especially by the water. A light layer will come in handy—particularly for boat rides or al fresco dinners.
