We met about three years ago while working at Tulsa 911, during one of those moments that didn’t feel significant at the time, but clearly was. Evan was observing before his training officially started, and we both quietly noticed each other from afar. One day, he asked if he could sit with me and observe while I took calls. And from there, things just clicked. A summer of dates and hangouts later, we officially started dating in October 2023. It’s definitely interesting working with the person you’re dating, but we managed to make it work. It only made going to work something to look forward to instead of dread. Last year, we took an epic two week trip to Ireland, Scotland, and England. Evan’s first trip out of the country. We had an amazing time exploring new countries, cultures, and experiences together. On November 10th, Evan proposed in England where Mr. Darcy proposed to Elizabeth (the first time) in the 2005 version of Pride & Prejudice. It was an easy yes, then and always. What started with conversations at work has turned into a life we’re proud to share. 🤍
