Evan & I met in Southern Oregon on December 6th, 2015. We'll never forget the evening we met because our plan of going out for a night on the town quickly turned into an evening of staying in dog-sitting my weimaraner Addy! I'm sure eating that chocolate was all part of her master plan to get us to stay & hangout with her! Embarrassed & in the midst of me cleaning-up chocolate vomit, I insisted that Evan not help, but there was no way he was going to sit back & watch me clean up the mess alone, so he joined in to help. I knew right from the start that he was a keeper! We have been inseparable ever since!
Evan asked me to marry him on the night of July 3rd, 2018 during the grand finale fireworks show at beautiful Lake of the Woods. As most of you know, Evan was given a hard time by family asking, "What's taking you so long?" "Why haven't you asked her yet?" Although we knew very early on in our relationship that we wanted to get married & spend the rest of our lives with one another, we decided to wait. Evan was anxious to get a new puppy & we soon realized that our townhouse without a yard was not going to work for us & two dogs. The money saved to get married, was instead used as a down payment on our new home we bought in January of 2017. We love our home & it was definitely worth the wait! However, the six months leading up to the proposal was all Evan who was so nervous about the proposal being nothing short of perfect! I tried reassuring him that no matter what he did, it was going to be perfect! And it was nothing short of perfect being under the stars, watching the fireworks when he got down on one knee & asked me to spend the rest of my life with him!
