Evan and Nya met in 2016 at their alma mater, Washington State University! Nya was a Freshman and Evan was a Sophomore. They lived in the same dorms and spent many nights studying together before starting their relationship.

Evan and Nya grew together throughout college; combining lives, families, and friendships. In Nya's senior year of college, May 2019, Evan and his fraternity brothers did a pinning ceremony to signify their relationship. Just weeks later, Evan and Nya took their post-graduation trip to Europe. Evan chose Ireland, on the beach that is overlooked by the charming Airbnb they stayed in. It wasn't a large spectacle, just Evan and Nya as the sun was going down. This was shortly after their 3 years together. Due to the pandemic, their plans have been forced to be pushed off. They will wed in their 6th year together, and 3rd year engaged!
