Evan and Nina met 10 years ago at Northwestern as music majors. Go cats! We started dating in 2022 when we reconnected during a vacation in Texas with our good friends Finley and Thomas. With Evan as a middle school band director in Boerne, TX and Nina with a remote sustainability consulting job in Hermosa Beach, CA, we did long distance for about a year. Nina then moved to Texas in 2023, which began a busy two years for both of us. We love to explore local coffee shops (fuel for Evan's grad school classes), find the best local restaurants (fuel for Nina's ballet classes), and make music together (fuel for our souls). In between bouts of productivity, Nina shows Evan episodes of various Star Wars shows and Evan shows Nina episodes of One Piece. When the opportunity presents itself, we love going on adventures. We take many trips to California to hang out with Nina's parents and friends, went to Italy on a big Jose family vacation, explored the San Juan Islands in Washington, and lately have been attending lots of weddings as many of our friends are getting married! In September 2024, Evan proposed at one of his gigs in San Antonio. Since Evan is an incredible planner and Nina is incredibly gullible, the proposal was pretty epic. Evan wrote and sang a song called "Say Yes"....and Nina did just that!
