It was November 12th, 2019. All it took was three words & we were hooked. On this day, I was scrolling through Instagram & realized I was following a cute kid on there this whole time. How did I ever miss him? So, I decided to shoot my shot & I private messaged him & asked him for his Snapchat. & this was the start of us. November 26th, Evan & I hung out for the very first time. That night, Evan came & picked me up after work. We went to Walmart for literally nothing. I believe Evan just wanted to be a kid again as I watched him ride a little toy bike around. That same night I swear that was the night we shared our first kiss. Yes, in the parking lot of Walmart. After I asked him if he was okay with doing some PDA! After Walmart, we still wanted to hang out. So we decided to drive around for hours & talk & talk. From then on, taking drives for hours was a major part of us & how we got to know each other. December 22nd, 2019, "The L word," Evan said it first. Evan & I were walking into his house, & before he opened the door for me, he turned around real fast & said " I love you." I was so speechless & had no idea how to respond & so I said "okay" & awkwardly kissed him & that was that. A couple of hours went by & I finally said it back. My heart was pounding. A true feeling I never felt before. From there, we gained such a strong connection. I told all my family he was going to be mine forever. January 1st, 2020. Happy New Year. The night we finally became boyfriend & girlfriend. Had my first New Year's Kiss & a boyfriend all in one night! The years 2020-2022. As we started our new journey as boyfriend & girlfriend, it also came with many memories & as well as challenges! We survived COVID together, traveling out west every year together. Yes, we drove the 15 hours & always made it out STRONG. We survived the police academy together as well. He may have been the only one to truly survive it, but I was always right there for him every day he returned home. I even would wake up at the crack of dawn to make him breakfast & his lunch! I can even still remember the smell of the stuff we used to shine his shoes with every day! Our story always starts in November! Our 5 amazing years traveling out west together for our annual hunting trip! Evan, getting two amazing bucks & I one since being with him. We visited Montana for my very first time on November 17th of 2023! I fell in love. The whole trip, I said, “We either get married here or start a life here.” I couldn’t have been more thankful for him bringing me! The proposal!!! 11/8/2024 will forever be the day that my boyfriend made me his fiancée! He went to bed that night & kept saying, “It’s going to be a good day tomorrow, I know it”. But, little did I know it was going to be an unforgettable day for me! I kept thinking he had shooting a big buck on his mind, I was never expecting it to be him proposing. But that year was extra special, as he finally asked me to be his forever in the field where he shot his deer the year before in Illinois. Now we can continue to hunt together, knowing how special this place is to us! Here’s to our new beginning, my love! I am so beyond happy & grateful for you & our families every day!! I love you today, tomorrow, & every day beyond that! November 29th! I found my wedding dress! I went with my mom, mother in law & my two sister in laws! My dress couldn’t be more beautiful! Wedding planning! Evan & I both agreed we wanted our special day to be small & intimate! A day where it should be shared with our family! We will be getting married on November 8th at Glacier National Park! Being able to marry my absolute best friend is such an amazing feeling. After we say “ I Do” we will spend the rest of our time hunting in Montana!
