Great place to stock up on food and drinks if you like to prepare your own food.
Excellent coffee served with a view. Located in charming downtown Port Townsend. Grab a cup and stroll through town.
Katherine worked at this farm and cider for over two years and Evan and Katherine first exchanged numbers here! A 15 minute drive out of town, order cider and locally-sourced food then take a walk through the orchard or watch the kids enjoy the large lawn and play area.
Our favorite local spot for asian inspired noodles, soups and sushi. Right in the middle of historic downtown Port Townsend.
Rent a kayak by the dock Fort Worden (behind the Maritime Science Center) and paddle around to Port Townsend. Dock anywhere in town, grab an ice cream, coffee, or lunch before paddling back .
There are lots of trails to explore! One of our favorites is hiking up to the old bunkers and around the bluffs looking out onto the Straight of Juan de Fuca.
If you have time for a drive, this is the gem of the peninsula and well worth the 1.5 hours to get there. Klahhane Ridge Hike is a 5 mile roundtrip thigh burner with sweeping views of the Olympics. Well worth it if you enjoy hiking and the weather is on your side. Otherwise, drive all the way up to the top of Hurricane Ridge Road (the drive itself is gorgeous), stop at the visitor center up top and explore some easier hiking from the parking lot.
No need to travel far! Some of the best local beaches are right at our doorstep. Bring a blanket and towel and make it a goal to swim in the frigid water while you're here. We promise it feels great!
There are multiple options if you want to rent a bike. At Fort Worden, there is Port Townsend Paddlesports. In town, there is The Broken Spoke and PT Cyclery. Biking is an excellent way to explore the area! From Fort Worden to downtown Port Townsend is about 2 miles one way.
